UPES Dehradun provides various scholarships to meritorious students to support their education and ease their financial burden. The university offers a range of scholarships based on academic performance, entrance exam scores, and other factors such as sports achievements, financial need, and special categories. Students aspiring to enroll in any program at UPES Dehradun must meet specific criteria, including achieving high scores in exams such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced, CUET, and Class 12 board exams.
The scholarships are designed to encourage and reward students for their academic excellence, sports talent, and financial needs, making higher education accessible to a wider range of students.
Entry Level Scholarship
This scholarship is based on the Class 12 marks and performance in exams like JEE and CUET. Scholarships range from 10% to 30% on tuition fees for the first year depending on the student’s marks.
MBA Scholarships
For MBA students, a 20% tuition fee waiver is available for those with a minimum CGPA of 7.5 or 75% in graduation. This scholarship applies only to the first year.
Free Ships Scholarship
The university offers Free Ships Scholarships for low-income students. This scholarship covers both tuition and hostel fees for up to 51 seats, with an age limit of 20 years for UG programs and 25 years for PG programs.
Sports Scholarships
Talented athletes can avail scholarships ranging from 35% to 100% depending on their national or international sports achievements. This scholarship covers various sports like cricket, football, athletics, chess, and more.
Academic Scholarships
Available for both UG and PG students from the second year onwards, these scholarships reward top-performing students. The scholarships are given to the top 10% of students, with the first-ranked student receiving 20% of the tuition fees, the second receiving 15%, and others receiving 10%.
Fellowships for MTech and MDes Programs
Special fellowships are available for students pursuing MTech and MDes programs.
Financial Support - ‘We Care’ Initiative
UPES also provides financial assistance to students who lose their earning parent, ensuring that they can continue their education without disruption.
