University Institute of Information Technology (UIIT), Himachal Pradesh is situated in Summerhill, Shimla at the Himachal Pradesh University Campus. It is a premier institution of excellence in Science and Information Technology. The institute started functioning under The Executive Council of HPU, after approval from AICTE. It started with a batch of 60 students for B.Tech. IT. B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering was introduced in year 2013.The motto of UIIT is “Eyes of Knowledge Seeth”
It is a self-financed government institute of North India. It represents a unique blend of distinguished faculty, brilliant students with strong IT industry collaborations. The campus "SILVER WOODS ESTATE" is located between rich flora and fauna, and is aesthetically planned and designed with excellent facilities to develop a refreshing environment for the students to pursue their studies, away from the daily chaos, near to Mother Nature.
