Sri Krishna College of Technology was established in the year 1985. The college is accredited Grade A by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The college has been granted autonomous status by the UGC during 2011-2012. It has permanent affiliation to Anna University, Chennai. The college is spread over an area of 51.39 acres Of land.
The college offers admission to B.Tech courses on the basis of qualifying exam merit, and applicants must attend Anna University's TNEA Counseling. SKCT Coimbatore provides M.Tech and MCA programmes based on Anna University's Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test or GATE (for M.Tech) results, and students must also participate in a campus tour.
