Sanjay Ghodawat University kolhapur Scholarship

Sanjay Ghodawat University (SGU), Kolhapur, offers a range of merit-based and loyalty scholarships for students enrolling in undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs for the academic year 2024-25. These scholarships aim to support academically outstanding and deserving students by providing financial assistance based on their performance in qualifying exams.

Merit Scholarship for Meritorious Students

SGU has introduced a merit-based scholarship scheme for students enrolling in various programs under the School of Technology. The scholarship is awarded based on students’ scores in qualifying entrance examinations such as CET, JEE, PERA, and SGUEE.

First-Year B.Tech Scholarship

Eligibility: Passed 12th (PCM) with a minimum of 45% (General) / 40% (Category) and a valid entrance test score.

Direct Second-Year B.Tech Scholarship

Eligibility: Passed Diploma with a minimum of 45% (General) / 40% (Category).

Additional Notes:

• Scholarships are applicable for the entire program duration for students admitted in A.Y. 2024-25.
• Scholarships are granted on a first-come, first-served basis as per the seat matrix.
• Admission confirmation requires at least 50% fee payment, which is non-refundable upon cancellation.
• SGU reserves the right to modify the scholarship policy without prior notice.

Shri Sanjay Ghodawat Loyalty Scholarship (UG & PG)

SGU offers Loyalty Scholarships for students who have previously studied at institutions under the Sanjay Ghodawat Group, including Sanjay Ghodawat Institutes, Sanjay Ghodawat Polytechnic, Sanjay Ghodawat International School, and Junior College. The scholarship is also extended to direct relatives (siblings, children, etc.) of SGU alumni and employees.

Sanjay Ghodawat University kolhapur Admission

The process of admission begins with ensuring of fulfilling of required eligibility conditions. Candidates after ensuring that they are fulfilling the required eligibility conditions can apply for the course of their choice in the institution. The process to apply is online, candidates have to visit the official website of the institution and then click the appropriate link for registration. The registration can be taken up and then account comprising username and password has to be created.

Post creation of user account, they can login and then start filling the application form. The application form must be filled with details like the name of the candidate, date of birth, address, communication information like email, mobile number, course desiring to apply, qualification details. Post filling with these details, students have to pay the registration fees and then submit the application form. 

Students can also look for offline mode of application form submission, if made available. Under this mode, candidates can visit the institution premises and then procure the application form along with prospectus. The form can be filled and  submitted  there itself or it can be brought home and filled and then sent to the institution either through post or courier.

Post application submission, students have to appear for a written test and pass it with required score, candidates who pass the written test with required score can take part in the further admission procedure which likely comprises an interview/group discussion or counselling. 

The written test candidates have to appear is SGUEE (Sanjay Ghodawat University Entrance Exam) and pass it with required qualifying marks to become eligible for taking part in the further admission process. Students who have written other well-known entrance exams for admission - JEE Mains, MHTCET, State-level entrance tests conducted in others states of India, national level test conducted by recognised Private / Deemed University can also apply. These students are likely exempted from SGUEE and can take part in further admission process directly.

Students are selected based on criteria like performance in entrance exam, performance in qualifying exam, availability of seats, choice of courses made by candidates. Students who have got the seat can convey their acceptance and pay the fees and join the college for classes as per specifications. 

Online

Candidates have to check the eligibility for the exam and ensure they are fulfilling it so as to minimize the chances of rejection of their application at a later stage. The condition of eligibility can be checked from the notification in connection with the exam which would be available at the official website for the exam established by the organisation conducting the exam. Post, ensuring the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria, candidates can follow the procedure mentioned below:

1. Visit the official website of the exam and click the link for registration and wait for the form to appear.
2. Post appearance of the form, candidates can fill it with the details like their name, age, date of birth, qualification details, permanent and temporary address, their email id and mobile phone number and submit them and create an account comprising username and password and submit them.
3. The students would receive confirmation message of successful submission and post submission they can view the details about the username and password created and website where they can use the username and password.

3A. Sometimes after confirmation, candidates may receive an One Time Password (OTP) either on their mobile phone or email after submission of registration form. In that case, they can enter the OTP and receive the final confirmation of submission of registration form and the details about username and password created.

4. Applicants can login in with the help of credentials (username and password) created and start filling the application form with details – the name (of the candidate), age, date of birth, educational qualification, residential address and permanent address, the course they wish to study, the test centre where they wish to write the test.
5. Post filling all the details, applicants have to upload the documents, the documents to be uploaded would depend on the type of the course, they are wishing to apply for the exam. The documents to be uploaded for UG course are:

10^th class marksheet

12^th class marksheet or suggested alternatives if marksheets are yet to be obtained

Community Certificate (if applicable)

Differently Abled Certificate (if applicable)

The documents to be uploaded if applying for PG courses are:

6. Post uploading of the documents, candidates can pay the registration fee using the online modes like credit card, debit card and net banking and obtain confirmation. After obtaining the confirmation, candidates can check for errors in the application and rectify them if any. Post rectification/verifying, application can be submitted and confirmation for successful submission can be obtained.  

Offline

This procedure is quite different from what takes place in online procedure. Candidates have to ensure they are fulfilling the required eligibility condition. Post ensuring eligibility condition, candidate can try to procure the form for filling it and sending it. They can follow the procedure below:

1. The application form has to be obtained from the official website of the college or the institution that conducts the exam. The form can be downloaded from the website and it can be filled and sent back to the institution either through courier or post along with required documents.
2. The forms can be acquired from the educational institution by visiting it in person. Candidates can either fill it and submit it there itself or bring it home and fill it and send it either in post or courier along with required documents.
3. The application form must also accompany with Demand Draft (DD) for the required exam fees or registration fees.
