K.L.E. Society’s Law College in Bangalore began its innings in 1975 under the aegis of Karnataka Lingayat Education Society and the motive behind establishing the institution was to ensure high worth education related to the field of law is made available to all.
The intention is to cater to the needs of those students who wish to undertake studies in the field of law. The beginnings would always remain an humble affair and as time moves ahead, great achievements are noticed and this stands true with regards to this college also.
To start with, a three Year LL.B. Degree Course was introduced and in the year 1996, a five year Integrated Degree Course in B.A. LL.B. was introduced to attract young students to commit at their earlier age to a Professional Course. To cater to the needs of the globalised corporate world and prospective corporate lawyers, another Five Year Integrated Course – B.B.A. LL.B. was introduced in the academic year 2011-12.
As one says, what gets name and fame for an educational institution are its students. One can indeed say, the students have brought great deal of fame upon its alma mater. The students have proved their mettle across various sectors. many successful students of the college from its inception have occupied top positions in the society in various fields like advocacy (trial and appellate), corporate practice, chamber practice, management, government offices, etc., in the recent years most of the students have occupied pivotal positions in many corporate enterprises too.
The College has created and maintained an academic atmosphere that enables student’s growth to the maximum extent. It is recognized by the Bar Council of India and is affiliated to the Karnataka State Law University, Hubli. The college offers along with Undergraduate programs, various certificate and diploma courses and operates in a modern, well-equipped campus located in the heart of the city.

There are many replies to the questions 'Why Choose This Institution Over Others?' Students always get the best of everything here from the faculty. The faculty also are highly qualified and stay in tandem with the latest developments in their respective subject and this enables them to give the best of knowledge to the students. The students are made to get tuned to the requirements of the industry (work arena) from the day one they move into the college.
There is an internship system in place for the students, this is designed to get students an exposure about the happenings in the workplaces, and also get them to know more about the practical requirements at various work places. Internship shall be done at varied forums like Trial & Appellate Advocate Chambers, Judiciary, Research Institute, Legal Regulatory Authorities, Local Self Governments, Legislature and Parliament, NGOs, Corporate Companies, Banks, Insurance Companies, Law Firms and other Legal Functionaries.
Studying law also means staying in touch with lot of facts, information, figures and the best place to have that is the library. Library is a Temple of Knowledge. Library is housed with 20684 volumes of Books and Back volumes. Of these 3334 are Back volumes of Journals and Reporters. The Library Procures 64 periodicals including 10 newspapers. Of these 14 are reporters, 22 Journals and remaining are the magazines. There are whole range of courses that are offered at the college and students can choose among them.
Candidates wishing to do postgraduation can do LLM, there are five year integrated courses - BA LLB, BBA LLB and BCom LLB. The law enthusiasts can also do LLB which is of three year duration. There are host of PG Diploma and Certificate programmes also. The College has 3 auditoriums. The main auditorium with a seating capacity of 400, Sharada Sabhangana with seating capacity of 180 and Asha kirana with seating facility for 90 people. All the auditoriums are fully IT enabled with high-tech facilities ideal for the organization and supporting training programmes, meetings, workshops and conferences.
In- house medical officer is available in the campus during office hours. Student fraternity is enrolled under Vidyarthi (P) scheme – KLE Belgaum Health Care Services. KLE Belgaum Healthcare Services scheme is instituted primarily for extending healthcare benefits to employees and students of KLE Society’s institutions.
The health plan assists in extending medical care for individuals in case of illness or accident. The campus is also environment friendly and has sufficient greenery which makes the stay over there a calm and relaxing experience. Some of the achievements of the colleges are mentioned below:

This dual degree course enables you to gain a graduate degree in Arts as well as a graduate degree in Law, simultaneously over the duration of the course. 6. Post uploading of the documents, candidates can pay the registration fee using the online modes like credit card, debit card and net banking and obtain confirmation. After obtaining the confirmation, candidates can check for errors in the application and rectify them if any. Post rectification/verifying, application can be submitted and confirmation for successful submission can be obtained.
The campus life is more than happy as the learning here is a healthy mix of pleasure. The lessons are taught in a manner that students never feel they are stressed. The teachers are always encouraging the students to excel in academics and reward those who perform well. Students who have strong interest in extra curricular activities will also have lot of encouragement in the institution.
If the work in classroom is over and giving a physical workout is the what one desires, they can make a move to the gym and work out for sometime. There are enough opportunities for the students to harness the inner talents in them as there are lot of contests and fun activities that are organised.
There is a very grand induction programme on the campus. The induction programme introduces the students to the programme of study and the facilities available to them. The objective is to prepare students for their course of study and ensure a smooth transition into college life.
The Student Council is part of various Student Welfare programmes. Recognizing the role of student in the policy making of the college, student members are appointed in various statutory committees such as Anti-ragging Committee, Girl Student Grievance Cell etc. Student role in assisting the statutory committees to understand the issues faced by the student community indispensable.
