Overview

Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, popularly known as IITG, was established in the year 1994. It is an Autonomous University. The institute has been recognized as the Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. Currently, IIT Guwahati offers BTech, BDes, MA, MDes, MTech, MSc and PhD programmes. The Institute has eleven departments and five inter-disciplinary academic centres. IIT Guwahati is one of the prestigious institutes ranked among top 10 institutes in India.
