Gharda Institute of Technology (GIT), Ratnagiri was established in 2007 by the Gharda Foundation with Dr K.H Gharda as the founder of the group. GIT is affiliated to Mumbai University and recognised by DTE. The institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, Govt. of Maharashtra and accreditated by NAAC with Grade B+. It is located on the NH-17 (Mumbai-Goa) highway. It aims at imparting quality education with the help of good infrastructure, modern equipments, advanced laboratories, experienced faculty and workshop by collaborating with foreign universities. Its main objective is to promote developments of residents of Rural India by dealing with issues like health, literacy etc.
