Galgotias University (GU), Greater Noida was established in 2011 by the Smt. Shankutla Educational & Welfare Society. The criteria of selection varies from one course to another. Galgotias University has lot of courses to offer across various streams. The process followed to select students for various courses is also different for each programme.

Merit criteria
The admission is offered taking into consideration the marks obtained in the qualifying exam under this type of criteria. Candidates who have good scores in the qualifying exams will be selected. The scores in the qualifying exams must be really very impressive.
Exams

Students applying under this criteria have to pass national level or state level popular exams to get admission into certain programmes offered by the university. The scores in JEE Mains or UPSEE are taken into consideration while providing admission into BTech.
NATA scores are taken into consideration while providing admission into BArch course. CLAT/LSAT India scores are taken into consideration for admission into graduate law courses.

The scores of national level exams like CAT/MAT/XAT are considered while providing admission into MBA (Masters in Business Administration). The admission into law courses at postgraduation - LLM are offered taking into consideration scores in All India level exam conducted by the university.
The admission procedure of Galgotias University is very simple. 5. Post submission, candidates have to download the application form and take a printout and then preserve it for the future use. The application number which will be generated while submitting the form is also to be noted and preserved. This number has to be quoted during all transactions with the institutions regarding admission process.
After Submission
The applications submitted are analyzed and candidates are selected based on their performance in the qualifying exam.
