The selection to DCE is based on the merit of the qualifying examination.

Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering Chennai Admission Process

• Admissions to UG courses are based on the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) ranks, conducted online by Anna University.
• Admissions to PG courses are based on the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) conducted by Anna University on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu. 

Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering Chennai Application Process

In-Person:

Candidates can get the Application Form from the 60 centres (check details on Anna University’s official website) by paying Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SC/SCA/ST belonging to Tamil Nadu with a photocopy of the Permanent Community Card/electronic form/digitally signed e-Certificate) with the application fee by cash/demand draft.

For this, the candidate needs to send a requisition letter along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 700 ( Rs. 450 for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu with a photocopy of the Permanent Community Card/electronic form/digitally signed e-Certificate) and the address label must be written in capital letters.

The candidates can also register online on www.annauniv.edu/tnea. The procedure for registration is available on the website. All Demand Drafts must be in favour of “The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions” payable at Chennai, drawn on any Nationalised Bank.

Note: The candidates must write the name and address on the backside of the Demand Draft.

• Auditorium: DCE has fully furnished, an air-conditioned auditorium with a powerful LCD projector with a personal computer, effective audio system and a seating capacity of 600 people.
• Library: DCE has individual department libraries and a massive central library spread over 500 sq. m having a collection of approximately 20k volumes, access to 59 national journals with a seating capacity of 200 people.
• Sports: The college campus has indoor as well outdoor games facility like Carrom Board, Chess Board, Table Tennis Table, Kabbadi Court(M & W), Throwball Court, Handball Court, Shuttle Court(Indoor Marking).
• Hostel: The campus provides separate hostels for boys (500) & girls (350 rooms) with 24*7 internet connection, generator facility, water treatment plant, dispensary, EPSX telephone system.
