BIHER Chennai Eligibility Criteria

B.Sc - A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate in Physics , Chemistry , Mathematics & Biology

B.Tech - A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and For Bio Engineering Departments a Pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics Chemistry & Mathematics/Biology

B.Arch - No candidate, with less than 50% marks in aggregate, shall be admitted to the architecture course unless he/she has passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent with Mathematics as a subject of examinations at the 10+2 level” and A pass in National Aptitude Test in Architecture(NATA) conducted by the council of Architecture. How ever, the candidates have to apply in the prescribed application form for admission to B.Arch. Program.

M.Arch - The candidate with a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate in a Bachelor of Architecture degree course.

M.Tech - Any B.E./B.Tech or its equivalent examinations approved by UGC/AICTE in appropriate branch with at least 60% marks in the aggregate or equivalent CGPA are eligible for respective courses. 

MBA - Any Undergraduate with first class or 60% marks or equivalent. 

BIHER Chennai Admission Process

Admissions to B.tech programs in BIHER are based on ranks secured in Bharath Engineering Entrance Examination BEEE 2022 and qualifying marks in Higher Secondary.

The students can directly apply for the admission in this college through the official website of the college. There is a special tab on the website called ‘admission’ and students can click on that and get the details and online form there itself. 

BIHER Chennai Campus Life

The college campus is a huge one that is spread in an area of about 603 acres of land that has 1.3 crore sq.ft buildings located in 6 Campuses both in Tamil Nadu and Pudhucherry. All of these college buildings have state of the art infrastructure facilities. The college is very peculiar about their staff and they have well qualified Teaching Faculty members to teach various UG and PG programmes and to guide.

The college helps the students with a lot of international internships as well which is path breaking as well. Of course, the college has its alumni in the foreign land but giving the internship opportunities to their students abroad is something exclusive. It is so because the college wants to give the students the best corporate exposure right from the beginning so that they are ready to face the corporate world. They want to give their students the best real life experiences.

The campus of the college is also a fully lively one where there is never a dull moment. To begin with, the college is a modern one with all the latest facilities required for today’s students and teachers. The whole campus is a wi-fi enabled campus. The faculty and the trust do not only engage in academics but also in a variety of other extra curricular activities.

The students are given a chance to take part in different student groups. The campus of the college is designed in a way that a student need not go outside the university campus for his/her daily needs. They have instructional as well as infrastructural facilities of international standards. All the basic amenities and facilities that a college should have are there in the campus. There are digital classrooms in the college campus for the ease of teaching as per the latest technologies. 

Other facilities provided by the college are sports facilities, library, auditoriums, gym, playing area, medical rooms, Bank, ATM, yoga centre, and also the transport facility for students and faculty members. The college has different clubs and extra curricular activities for the students to take part in like NSS, NCC, RRC, UBA, and Swach Bharat Abhiyan. 

BIHER Chennai Hostel Life

The college has a separate boarding facility for the boys and the girls. The rooms are provided on Double sharing and Triple sharing basis. The facilities provided include laundry, Wi-Fi, Yoga for girls and a Gymnasium for the boys. The hostel is equipped with a mess to provide food for the students for three times a day along with some snacks. The mess provides hygienic and nutritious food to the students.

The students decide the weekly menu according to which meals are prepared and served. Mess staff is conscious about the cleanliness and quality of food in a hygienic manner. The college has 6 blocks of hostels with compound wall and landscaped gardens. All hostel blocks are well connected by roads. RO water plant treatment caters the water needs of the hostel. Sewage plant is fully functional. There are 12 A/C rooms in boy’s hostel and 10 A/C rooms in girl’s hostel.

The college also has a hostel for the girls and the boys of the college. There are different hostel blocks and each of them are aesthetically designed. The hostel blocks are spread around the campus. The hostels are interconnected, mostly in blocks of three. 

There are comfortable twin and triple sharing rooms in the college with proper amenities. Talking about the security of the college, there is warden who looks after the hostel campus and for the needs of the students.  Each block is also equipped with fully automatic washing machines and each floor is further equipped with landline phones, water coolers and water purifiers. 

The security is obviously intact but that doesn’t mean that the students cannot have fun in their hostels. They just have to be in discipline. The hostel also has a mess which provides hygienic and fresh food to the students three times a day along with the evening snack.

The students can enjoy the meals inside the mess in a light hearted and chilled environment. The college takes pride in saying that they haven’t ever received a single complaint about the hostel food’s taste and quality. They make sure that the students do not feel that they are away from their homes.

The top facilities of the hostel are dining hall, health centre, guest house, bank, ATM, post office STD, ISD pay phones, copier facility, stationery store, souvenir shop etc.
