Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi was established in 1956 is an Autonomous Medical University located in New Delhi, recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Medical Council of India (MCI). There are total AIIMS located at different locations all over India. These branches are famous as AIIMS hospital or AIIMS University as they provide world-class medical facilities & uses advanced medical techniques & treatments. AIIMS conducts teaching programs in medical and para-medical courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and awards its degrees being an autonomous body. Teaching and research are conducted in 42 disciplines. It has more than 600 research publications by its faculty and researchers in a year. It also runs a college of Nursing and trains students for B.Sc.(Hons.) Nursing post-certificate) degrees.
